How I Made My First $100 With Google Adsense

So after a long period of tweaking and writing, I received my first 100$ from google adsense. Like every young blogger, the desire to earn from the things I wrote was core because I read numerous articles surrounding blog monetization. Each time I read such posts, I imagined how I was going to feel upon seeing my first earnings. It was tough in the beginning though, but hey I was never ready to quit because I had not reached my goal yet.


I have seen over a hundred ways bloggers can make good cash from the content they put on the internet and Google Adsense is one the most popular means. So finally, I hit the 100$ Google Adsense threshold and my payment was sent to me via Western Union.  If you are a newbie, or you have a dream to start your own blog, then this post is just for you. 100$ maybe just too little for many bloggers but this is just an inspiration that there are bigger opportunities ahead. Now let’s get straight to how I made my first 100$.

Applying for Google Adsense

Google Adsense application is the first step for bloggers who want to make money from their blogs using Google Adsense. The first step of the Google Adsense application process is to visit the Google Adsense website.

You can then click on signup to register, please note that Google will check and review your blog for certain requirements before approving your application. Some of these  requirements include a clean blog design, sufficient content, sufficient traffic and some pages like the contact us page, about us page, privacy policy page and the sitemap. These are the basic things you need to have intact before you can consider applying for Google Adsense.

Placing the ad code

Once you have successfully filled the signup form, Google will require that you place a code in the <head> </head> of your website.

Adsense Application

Once you have successfully placed the code in your head tag, Google will then review your application to see if your blog meets their requirements or not. Once your account has fully been approved, you can now place ads on your blog and monitor it performance. If your application is not approved, you still have the chance to review your blog and apply again. there is no limit to the number of times you can apply for Google Adsense.

Content and Traffic:

Now that your account has fully been approved, the next thing to take serious is your content and traffic. These are the primary things that affect your adsense earnings and performance. It takes some kind of patience and determination to understand how the Google Adsense Network works.

NB: Your adsense earnings vary based on keywords, geographically location and several other activities on your blog. The key secret is to produce content that is worth reading….
