ALEJANDRO MAYORKAS’ POLITICAL PARTY
Alejandro Mayorkas is a Cuban American who migrated into the United States as a refugee in 1960. He worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Central District of California for about a decade. He then became a U.S. attorney. He was appointed by President Obama in April 2009; he was unarguably confirmed by the United States Senate in August 2009. He is now the Secretary of homeland security under President Joe Biden’s administration. Alejandro Mayorkas is a member of the Democratic party.
