Alejandro Mayorkas is a Cuban American who was born on the 24th of November 1959. His parents moved with him his sister to America in the year 1960 as refugees. He is Latino by ethnicity and Cuban America by Nationality. He attended the University of California and obtained a bachelor’s degree in art, he proceeded further to Layola Law School to obtain his law degree. He is now a lawyer by profession and now a politician. He became the youngest United States Attorney after he was appointed as the United States Attorney for the Central District of California by Ex-president, Bill Clinton. He also has served as Chief of the Office’s General Crimes Section from 1996-1998. under his administration, he received awards from federal law enforcement agencies. He is currently serving as US Secretary for Homeland Security under the Administration of President Joe Biden. He is a member of the democratic party.
